Successfully completing all parts of the exam demonstrates your proficiency in the operational skills required to control jobs in an AS/400 or iSeries system.All courses in this series assume that you can perform basic OS/400 operations. In particular, you should know how to sign on the system and display the Operational Assistant Menu.

You can satisfy this prerequisite by successfully completing the courses from the Using an iSeries System series. If you feel you already have the necessary skills, you can verify your belief by successfully completing the Competency Exam for this series.

Audience: The Fundamentals of iSeries Operations series, including this exam, should be taken anyone who will be using OS/400 work management facilities. This audience includes users who submit and monitor the execution of their own batch jobs, users who control the printing of their output, and operators who are responsible for monitoring and controlling job processing.

Prerequisites: All courses in this series assume that you can perform basic OS/400 operations. In particular, you should know how to sign on the system and display the Operational Assistant Menu.
