The first course, Installing and Configuring Client Access/400, presents an 11-step procedure for implementing a PC-to-AS/400 connection using Client Access/400:
1. Perform global planning.
2. Install the hardware to make the physical connections.

The second course, Configuring Client Access/400 on the AS/400, covers steps 4 through 6, which are performed on the AS/400 side of the connection. Both the first and second courses of this series apply to all clients, regardless of the operating system used on the PC.
Steps 7 through 11 of the installation process are performed on the PC side of the connection.
These steps are covered in the third course, Installing Client Access/400 for Windows 95/NT on a PC.
The fourth course, Using the Directory Update Function, describes a Client Access facility that you can use to update software installed on any number of PCs from a single AS/400 or iSeries system.
